About TheMyths
What we make
TheMyths is a community and a small independent project about the old ways of reading fate, from the East and the West: tarot, the I Ching and dreams all have a seat here. Our first creation is The Mystic Table: an old reader sits across a candlelit table from you, turns your cards one by one and talks them through with you, in English, 繁體中文, 简体中文 or 日本語.
Why a reader who talks back
Most tarot sites hand you a paragraph per card. A good reader does something else: she asks what the card touches in your life, notices how your cards speak to each other, and helps you think through what to do next. We built the table to feel like that conversation. The cards are shuffled at random and you choose them yourself; her words are composed for you from the meaning of each card, the picture on our deck, and what you tell her.
The card meanings
Our tarot card meanings cover all 78 cards: the picture on each card of our deck, upright and reversed, and what the card can mean in love, work and money. They are written for this site, and we keep improving them.
The guides
Our tarot guides answer the questions beginners and regular readers actually ask: how a reading works, which spreads to start with, how to read reversed cards, how to word a question, and what tarot can and cannot do. Each one is meant to be useful without a reading, and says plainly where tarot's limits are.
How we write about tarot
Four habits guide everything we publish. We describe what a card can mean, not what will happen to you. We keep fear out of it: a hard card is a prompt to look at something, not a verdict. Every language is checked by hand so it reads like a person talking, not like a translation. And we fix things: if a meaning reads thin, vague or wrong, we rewrite it.
What tarot is, and isn't
We treat tarot as a mirror for reflection, not a prophecy. Nothing on this site is medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
Free to use, and how we pay for it
A new account comes with ✦120 credits, and a free account earns more through a daily check-in, for more readings. The site is supported by advertising: Google ads may appear on card meaning pages, guides and the notes feed, clearly apart from the text and never inside a note. We never show ads during a reading, and we do not sell your personal information.
