红色房间:日本网页上的一个弹窗,问你“你喜欢红色房间吗”

Around the early 2000s, such a legend appeared on Japanese websites.
When you were surfing the internet, a small red window would suddenly pop up on your screen, and a woman's voice (some say a boy's voice) would ask: "Do you like the red room?" The pop-up also had a prompt: "Do you like it?"
You closed the window, and it popped up again, over and over. Finally, the window stopped moving, leaving only one line of text.
The legend says that those who saw it would be found dead in their own rooms the next morning, with the walls of the room painted red with blood. Some say that the room covered in red liquid is the "red room."
The pop-up itself was a very small animation made with web animation software popular at the time, and many people imitated it. As more and more people imitated it, the legend grew larger and larger.
Later, the "red room" became a fixed item in Japanese internet horror topics. Some wrote novels, some made movies, and others made various "sequels."
That software stopped service at the end of 2020, and the pop-up can no longer pop up. What remains is only that question: Do you like the red room?
