弗吉尼亚的兔子人桥,1970年真的有警察出过警

There's a small town in Virginia, USA, with a railway bridge beside it called the "Bunny Man Bridge." Local children dare not go there at night.
The legend goes like this: someone escaped from a mental asylum, wearing a rabbit suit, wielding an axe, and killing people who passed by, hanging their corpses on the bridge.
One part of this legend is true. In October 1970, the police department of Fairfax County, Virginia, actually received two reports. The first: a couple in a car said that a man in a white rabbit suit threw an axe at their car, shouting "You're on my turf" while doing so; the second: a security guard said he saw a person in a gray rabbit suit at a new housing construction site, chopping pillars with an axe and saying "You people keep trespassing here."
The police investigated but caught no one. After that, there was no news for a while.
Later, someone looked into it, and the "mental asylum" story was added later; there are no records of anyone escaping from such a place back then. After the legend spread, every Halloween, people go to that bridge, and the police increase patrols; anyone caught climbing over the fence gets fined.
Who the Bunny Man actually is, no one knows. Those two reports from 1970 are things kept in the police department's archives, written down word for word, in black and white.
